Over eighty-nine years of excellence in healthcare began at Hopewell Hospital in 1915 when doctors David "Lane" Elder and Jeffrey N. Elder, established and founded a small facility over a local drugstore. The hospital continued to grow and in October 1935 John Randolph Hospital, Inc. was formed.
